Sungrow has officially opened its first Solar & Battery Experience Hub on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to Australia’s renewable energy industry. Fully powered by Sungrow inverters and battery systems, the new centre delivers live demonstrations of solar, battery storage and electric vehicle charging solutions across both residential and commercial applications.

Situated in one of the country’s most sustainability-driven regions, the Hub is designed to encourage collaboration with local households, enterprises and non-profit organisations. It will run technical training programmes, sustainability workshops and community events aimed at boosting energy literacy and fostering local economic development through clean energy innovation.

The opening ceremony brought together Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli, Queensland Government representative Kendall Hatcher MP, community leaders, industry figures and Sungrow Australia’s leadership team. In their addresses, local officials emphasised the Hub’s potential to speed up the region’s adoption of low-carbon technologies and commended its role in deepening community participation in the renewable energy transition.

Inside the centre, visitors can explore three immersive zones:

Sungrow Journey – traces the company’s global R&D milestones and its 14‑year history in Australia.

Live Experience Area – showcases live product demonstrations and real‑time system monitoring for residential solar, battery storage and EV charging.

Smart Hub Experience – presents next‑generation energy management technologies, including battery optimisation and advanced monitoring tools designed to strengthen household energy independence.

Alongside its educational focus, Sungrow has donated two energy storage systems to local charities, further supporting community resilience. The Hub also partners with accredited installers to ensure visitors receive expert advice and reliable installation services.

Neil Yang, Channel Sales Manager at Sungrow Australia, described the centre as “more than just a physical space – it offers first-hand exposure to clean energy technologies, helping people make informed decisions about their energy use.” He also revealed plans to replicate this model in major Australian cities, with the aim of expanding renewable energy education, generating local employment and advancing sustainable infrastructure.
