Xiangyang, China – August 30, 2026 – CORNEX has reached a major operational milestone with the commissioning of its 70GWh lithium battery manufacturing complex in Xiangyang. The facility, now running at full scale, reflects a planned annual production capacity of 70GWh.

Remarkably, the entire industrial park was completed within just ten months after construction began on October 28, 2025, setting what the company describes as a new efficiency benchmark for the industry.

Spanning around 265 acres with more than 1.05 million square meters of built area, the Xiangyang site ranks among CORNEX’s most advanced and vertically integrated production bases. It brings together the complete value chain—from battery cell fabrication and PACK assembly to integrated energy storage systems (ESS) and electric vehicle (EV) platforms—alongside dedicated R&D and testing laboratories. Once fully ramped, the base is projected to contribute over 30 billion RMB in annual output value and generate more than 5,000 jobs. It will also serve as a mass-production hub for a comprehensive lineup of large-scale ESS batteries, with daily output expected to reach close to 400,000 units for global markets.

The launch aligns with CORNEX’s dual-core "Energy Storage + EV" strategy and its ongoing investment in next-generation battery technologies such as solid-state and sodium-ion chemistries. Through intelligent manufacturing and sustainable operations, the company aims to position the Xiangyang facility as a global benchmark for zero-carbon smart factories, supporting the worldwide transition to renewable energy.
