At the 2026 Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) in Shanghai, Chinese home-appliance player Dreame dropped some serious hardware: a new solid-state battery pack built around 60 Ah cells. Dubbed the "Starry Sky Crystal Core Power Battery," Dreame is calling it its first solid-state pack ready to hit the production line. Small-batch deliveries are slated to kick off later this year, with full-scale mass production expected in 2027.

Dreame—founded by Yu Hao and folded into the Xiaomi Ecological Chain back in 2017—made its pivot into the automotive space just last year. Since then, the company has teased a string of concepts under its Kosmera, Star Motor, and Nebula sub-brands, turning heads with styling that nods to some familiar luxury nameplates. At AWE, Dreame also pulled the wraps off the Nebula Next 01X crossover, a model meant to showcase where its fresh solid-state tech is headed.

Earlier details on the Nebula Next 01 concept revealed some serious numbers: torsional stiffness north of 45,000 Nm/deg, a drag coefficient of 0.185 Cd, and a quad-motor layout cranking out a combined 1,903 hp. Dreame hasn’t confirmed whether the cells themselves are homegrown, but it’s making a point that the pack is production-ready.

Industry chatter suggests Dreame could be sourcing cells from GAC Group, which recently fired up its own large-capacity solid-state cell line. Those GAC cells also check in at 60 Ah, with areal energy density hitting 7.7 mAh/cm². According to GAC, vehicles running similar solid-state cells could nearly double driving range compared to conventional lithium-ion packs.

While Dreame’s battery debut marks a real step forward in its broader diversification play, hard technical specs and independent test data are still under wraps. With initial deliveries on the horizon this year, all eyes will be on whether Dreame can back up the solid-state hype—and actually get the tech into future production models.
