On September 22, 2026, LG Energy Solution reported that its battery energy storage system has met the criteria for NVIDIA DSX Ready BESS status. This designation applies to products and solutions that satisfy the relevant stipulations of NVIDIA’s DSX reference design for AI factory infrastructure.

NVIDIA’s DSX AI Factory Platform aligns the planning and management of computing, networking, power, cooling, facilities, and software. LG Energy Solution’s BESS fulfills the program’s applicable requirements for AC energy storage solutions, enabling its deployment in power infrastructure that supports AI-driven environments.

LG Energy Solution states that the system can shorten time-to-power and accelerate the availability of capacity. It is also engineered to handle power management demands, including AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through, and greater power reliability.

The company says its North American energy storage activities rely on a localized value chain that encompasses battery cell production, pack manufacturing, and system integration. LG Energy Solution intends to draw on five regional production sites to secure over 50 GWh of lithium iron phosphate battery cell production capacity by the end of 2026. That capacity is designed to meet demand from data centers, infrastructure developments, and utility-scale energy storage projects.

LG Energy Solution’s energy storage portfolio comprises system integration services, DC battery containers, and AC battery container solutions with integrated power conversion systems. It also provides IRA-compliant solutions that are eligible for applicable Investment Tax Credit incentives, backed by a localized service network across North America.

Chang Beom Kang, head of LG Energy Solution’s ESS Battery Division, said the qualification bolsters the company’s plan to expand its digital infrastructure business by capitalizing on local manufacturing capabilities and battery technology.
