Modularity Meets Smart Charging: Sungrow Presents Ultra-fast Charging Solutions at Drive2Zero in Paris

At Drive2Zero at June 4-5 in Paris, Sungrow Charging showcases its comprehensive EV Charging portfolio from 11 to 480kW for residential, commercial, and public customers (AC and DC). With DC Chargers with 30, 180 and 480kW, it also consists of the recently unveiled ultra-fast compact charger IDC480E-C, perfect from compact urban sites to large-scale charging depots. Together with the Satellite charger IDC480E, customers now have various choices for DC charging.

DC charging with 480kW: Built for longevity and efficiency with AI support


Both 480kW products (IDC480E and IDC480E-C) use Sungrow’s patented Isolated Air-Cooling Technology, including two separate chambers for power modules and electrical components. The chambers are fully sealed and dust-free to ensure effective heat dissipation and stable performance under demanding conditions, resulting in low maintenance. They contain the highest standards of anti-corrosion protection (C5 and IP65), ensuring stable operation indoors and outdoors. Additionally, they are designed for over 10 years of service and lower O&M costs, thanks to lifecycle management with AI support.


 


IDC480E-C: Power-on-Demand for every future need


The compact version IDC480E-C has Sungrow’s proprietary 40kW Power Module with more than 97 percent efficiency. The expandable architecture allows for adding one liquid or air-cooled dispenser configuration without costly additional cabling and installation work. Clients can configure total output capacities of 240, 320, 360, 400, and 480kW by subtracting or adding power modules, allowing them to serve diverse vehicle types with customized charging strategies – perfect for retail locations or next to highways.


The modular architecture of the IDC480E-C ensures lower maintenance and high reliability. Intelligent power distribution across multiple dispensers leads to higher turnover at stations.


 


For up to eight vehicles: The satellite charger IDC480E


With a charging capacity of up to 480kW, the charger IDC480E enables ultra-fast charging for up to eight vehicles simultaneously, thanks to the connection of up to four ‘charging satellites’. The liquid- and air-cooled satellites can be combined for simultaneous charging of up to eight vehicles, designed to adapt and grow with business needs. This makes it ideal for use in commercial areas, such as fleet management and charging in a vehicle depot.

The IDC480E-C and IDC480E seamlessly integrate with Sungrow’s Beyond Charging Solution—a unified PV + ESS + EVC system delivered under one brand. It addresses the issue of insufficient power capacity and ensures a reliable power supply, also during outages, offering an independent energy solution. This enables customers to attain sustainability goals while streamlining EV charging infrastructure management.
