
On June 24, at The Smarter E Europe 2026, HiTHIUM formally introduced its next-generation commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage solution to the global market: the ∞Power 1022kWh liquid-cooled C&I energy storage cabinet. Leveraging HiTHIUM’s in-house developed ∞Cell 1175Ah large-capacity cells, the product is engineered to satisfy worldwide C&I demands for stronger safety, higher integration, long-duration operation and lower LCOS, while further enriching HiTHIUM’s C&I energy storage lineup.
As renewable energy penetration deepens and electricity market reforms progress, C&I users are looking well beyond basic peak shaving and load shifting—toward integrated energy management, long-duration applications and lifetime revenue optimization. In this context, C&I energy storage is evolving toward greater capacity, tighter integration, longer discharge durations and improved economics. The ∞Power 1022kWh cabinet responds to this trend through its large-capacity cell platform, unified system architecture and intelligent management features.
The cabinet adopts a 1P272S system configuration, delivering a nominal capacity of 1022.72kWh—enabling roughly 1MWh of storage in a single enclosure. Built on the ∞Cell 1175Ah platform, it achieves high energy density while cutting the number of cabinets required and simplifying on-site interconnection. Compared with a conventional 1MWh-level setup made up of four 261kWh cabinets, the new design reduces the footprint by approximately 32%. With a single-cabinet footprint of around 3.4 square meters and a capacity density of about 300kWh/m², it enhances land-use efficiency and installation flexibility.
Safety remains a fundamental pillar for high-quality energy storage deployment. The ∞Power 1022kWh cabinet features a system-level safety framework spanning cells, system design, thermal management, fire protection and intelligent monitoring. At the cell level, it employs lithium iron phosphate chemistry and benefits from HiTHIUM’s deep expertise in large-capacity cell R&D and manufacturing. At the system level, liquid cooling contributes to improved temperature uniformity among cells during extended operation. The battery compartment incorporates thermal insulation, fire-resistant design and abnormal-condition mitigation measures. Together with smoke, temperature and gas sensors, the system enables timely anomaly detection and coordinated protective responses. The product is also designed to align with NFPA 855 requirements, is fitted with an aerosol fire suppression system and a water fire protection interface, and is planned for inclusion within the UL 9540A testing and certification framework.
As C&I energy storage business models increasingly pivot toward long-duration operation, lifecycle economics have become a top priority. The ∞Power 1022kWh cabinet supports a 0.25P charge/discharge rate, making it well suited for long-duration use cases such as energy arbitrage, demand management, PV self-consumption, backup power and microgrids. Its large-format cells and integrated design reduce the number of connection components and installation steps, lowering upfront capital expenditure. Liquid cooling, efficient energy management and digital O&M capabilities further bolster system availability and operational performance. Designed with a round-trip efficiency of approximately 90% and low auxiliary power consumption, the system contributes positively to long-term project returns.
The cabinet demonstrates strong environmental adaptability. It supports wide-temperature operation, IP55 protection and C5M anti-corrosion design, allowing deployment in humid, high-salinity and challenging outdoor settings. The liquid-cooling unit uses an environmentally friendly refrigerant that meets EU environmental standards. Moreover, the product is engineered to withstand lifting and transport stresses, wind loads, snow loads, seismic events and transportation shocks, supporting safe installation and reliable operation across diverse regions.
The introduction of the ∞Power 1022kWh liquid-cooled C&I energy storage cabinet represents a significant step in bringing HiTHIUM’s long-duration energy storage technology into C&I scenarios.
