SVOLT Energy has officially begun production of its Dragon Armor II battery at its Huzhou plant. As an upgraded version of the 2022 Dragon Armor battery, this next-generation product is now the world's largest mass-produced 800V ternary hybrid battery with a capacity of 65kWh. Featuring 5C ultra-fast charging, it significantly extends range and reduces charging times for hybrid vehicle users.

The Dragon Armor II emphasizes high capacity, extreme safety, and ultra-fast charging. Its safety core adopts a highly integrated, stable thermal-electric separation design, with an innovative bottom vent placement—completely isolated from the terminals—ensuring absolute separation of thermal runaway ejecta from electrical components.

The safety system combines an intelligent fuse (response time <2ms), ultra-high-strength steel underbody armor, and a T-shaped dual-layer protective structure (withstanding 1000J impacts), forming a comprehensive triple-safety shield. Test results confirm zero thermal propagation even at 55°C, surpassing industry safety standards by more than six times.

As the world's largest mass-produced 800V 5C ternary hybrid battery, its 65kWh capacity rivals that of pure-electric vehicle batteries. Structurally, short-blade cells and CTP (Cell-to-Pack) technology share exhaust and underbody protection gaps, freeing up 5-8mm in height (Z-direction) and improving volumetric efficiency by 4%.

This Z-direction space optimization allows the battery pack to adapt to multiple vehicle platforms (MPVs, SUVs, sedans), significantly lowering development and production costs.

In terms of charging, its 5C capability enables a 20%-80% state of charge (SOC) in just 12 minutes, supporting more than 1,600 fast-charge cycles. Combined with BDU cooling technology, temperatures are reduced by 40%.

The successful launch of the Dragon Armor II marks a major milestone for SVOLT Energy and advances China's lithium battery industry, delivering cutting-edge core specifications for safer, faster-charging, and more sustainable mobility solutions.
