DALI, YUNNAN – Great Power has successfully connected China Energy Investment Corporation's 200MW/400MWh independent shared energy storage station to the grid at Xiangyun County Industrial Park. Now operating at full capacity, the facility stands as one of Yunnan Province's largest energy storage projects.
The 200MW/400MWh station is engineered to store excess renewable energy during periods of high wind and solar generation while delivering stable power during peak industrial demand. It plays a vital role in grid management, including peak load shifting and smoothing fluctuations in renewable energy output.
For this initiative, Great Power deployed DC-side storage systems featuring high-reliability lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, renowned for their safety, efficiency, and long cycle life. An intelligent integrated operations platform enhances system longevity and maximizes economic efficiency.
With China accelerating its clean energy market growth, the independent shared energy storage industry is experiencing rapid expansion. Leveraging 14 years of specialized experience and a proven project delivery record, Great Power provides comprehensive solutions—from deployment to operations—driving grid modernization and the shift toward sustainable energy.
